Madelyn is a Portfolio Analyst at 1919 Investment Counsel. In her role, Madelyn works with individuals, families, foundations, and endowments to provide comprehensive investment counsel and client service. Her primary responsibility is supporting portfolio managers and client advisors in the development and management of investment portfolios, with a focus on portfolio review, investment analysis, account administration, and wealth planning.

Prior to joining 1919, Madelyn worked as an Investment Intern for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS), where she performed investment analysis and researched new strategies across asset classes including private equity, global equity, fixed income, and sustainable investment and stewardship strategies. She also served as a Financial Analyst Mentee for the Hornet Athletics Finance and Budget Department, supporting core budgeting and financial planning functions.

In her spare time, she enjoys staying active—typically through tennis or lifting—and also takes interest in cooking new recipes, hiking, and reading.

Madelyn earned her B.S. in Finance and MBA with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Sacramento, where she competed as a Division I tennis player, served as team captain, earned All‑Conference honors, and helped lead the team to two NCAA Tournament appearances.
