Philip (“Phil”) is a Managing Director at 1919 Investment Counsel and Head of Trading. In his role, Phil oversees all aspects of trade execution and settlement, working closely with Compliance on all related reporting and record-keeping related to trading. Phil is also a member of the Operating, Investment Policy, Vendor Management, and Liquidity Risk Management Committees, as well as the Fixed Income Strategy Group.

Prior to his current responsibilities, Phil spent seven years as a Municipal Bond Trader for the firm’s fixed income portfolios and one year as a Portfolio Administrator. Phil also worked for three years in Legg Mason’s Operations group as a supervisor of the Dividend Department.

Phil earned a B.A. in Finance from the University of Baltimore and his M.S. in Finance from Loyola College.
