Robert is a Principal at 1919 Investment Counsel. In his role as a Municipal Credit Analyst, he supports portfolio management teams through credit research and analysis. He also provides analysis and expertise through special research projects related to the municipal finance industry. He is a member of the Fixed Income Strategy Group, the Third-Party Advisory Group, and the firm’s Community Partnerships initiative.
Outside of the office, Robert serves as President on the Board of Governors for the Anneslie Community Association and as Treasurer for Maryland Swimming, the governing body for USA Swimming in Maryland.
Robert entered the financial services industry in 1998. He began his career as an analyst for local government bonds at Moody’s Investors Service and later was an assistant Vice President at Dexia Credit Local’s New York branch in their public finance division. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Vice President at Citigroup in their Global Credit Center – Municipals group.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys staying active, competing in master’s swimming as well as mountain biking, cooking, and grilling.
Robert earned his B.A. from Albion College (Michigan) and his M.S. from the New School University’s Milano School of International Affairs Management and Urban Policy, located in New York.
