Citywire’s Alpha Female Report tracks the progress asset managers are making towards gender parity in investment roles. The 2024 report shows progress towards gender parity in investment management has picked up again. While last year’s report showed progress at a virtual standstill, over the past 12 months the headline figure for women in portfolio management roles has risen. Additionally, the report shows a significant jump in the average portfolio size run by female managers.
Citywire is the only firm to exclusively rate managers, not funds, and they do this because they strongly believe the track record of the fund manager is a very important consideration when selecting an actively managed fund.
